Positive and Negative space
Today I have tried to paint Moonlight and lightning by using two colours which is black and white. The negative forms the moon and the light reflection from the moon. The positive support positive space to form the moon.

ReplyDeleteThe moon rise over the water is particularly interesting because of the different surfaces and spaces that you represent in the painting. There is variety in the positive and negative 2-D shapes on the water's surface. A deep 3-D space with a positive moon and cloud forms is a striking contrast.
